Spelt takes some time to cook, the pearled one cooks in a little shorter time and does not need to be soaked the night before.
In addition to being a cereal with multiple nutritional properties spelt, even if consumed in small quantities, offers a remarkable sense of satiety.
First, rinse the spelt with plenty of water if possible. Turn on the heat. Add plenty of water and the spelt to a pot. Bring the pot to a boil over medium heat with the lid on for about 30-40 minutes until the spelt is soft.
In the meantime, clean the mushrooms from impurities and chop them coarsely. Chop the garlic and chili. Turn on another fire and heat a pan with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, rotating the pan to grease the bottom well. Add the garlic, chili and mushrooms. Cook, stirring constantly and adjusting to taste by adding salt and pepper until soft.
Add the mushrooms to the spelt and cook for another 5-10 minutes over low heat, mixing the ingredients well. When cooked, add a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
